A day trip to Guildford by May
"On 17th June, Gizem, Tugba, Ming and me, four friends from Richmond EAL Friday Coffee Morning group went to a day trip to Guildford.
We took the train to there, getting discount tickets as a group.
It was a lovely town, the high street is paved with pebbles, clean and quiet packed with charming shops.
We spent quite a long time in the Guildford Castle Grounds, it’s a refined English garden around a historic Norman tower ruin. We took pictures, chatted, indulged in the beautiful surroundings.
For lunch, we tried the Vietnamese cuisine, to introduce the delicious Pho noodle soups to two of our Turkish friends who hadn’t tasted this kind of Asian food before. It turns out they like it a lot.
After lunch, we hiked up to The Mount where we can see the amazing panoramic view of the town, the Guildford cathedral is in the center of it.
It was absolutely a fantastic trip, we would all leave good memories of it".
