We visited the Shirley Sherwood Gallery, the Palm House, the Waterlily House, Japanese House (the Minka) and then crossed the bridge over the beautiful lake and looked at the various waterfowl.
The most popular place was the Minka, which most learners had not seen before, and everybody was also fascinated by the oldest plant pot in the world, which is almost three hundred years old and sits in the entrance to the Palm House.
Some people stayed for more than five hours and we all felt a little sad when it was time to leave...
Sixteen learners joined the group with the following home languages:
FARSI/DARI, CANTONESE, JAPANESE, TURKISH, ROMANIAN, UKRAINIAN, RUSSIAN, SPANISH
We look forward to the next trip at the start of the autumn term.
