Today, ELA, (Turkish) MEI, (Mandarin) MASHA, (RUSSIAN) FIKRTE, (Amharic), TERESA, (Cantonese), MOON (Cantonese) and LIANGPEI, (Mandarin) received their lanyards at Kew Gardens in a ceremony to mark their official acceptance as registered volunteers at the Gardens.
This is the culmination of many months of preparation and the charity is very proud indeed of their commitment and achievement. ALEKSANDRA, (Ukrainian) who has also been accepted, was unfortunately away for the ceremony but will receive her lanyard at a later date....
We owe a huge thank you to Lily O'Connor who created the scheme and dealt with the fairly lengthy bureaucratic process, as she was determined to welcome some of our learners to these responsible and highly sought after positions!
Wishing all you volunteers many happy and fulfilling years as part of the wonderful Kew Gardens Team!
