On Wednesday 13th March, Michelle Wheeler from the Mulberry Centre gave us a most informative presentation about this important charity. We learned that there are 140 volunteers helping to provide emotional support and complementary therapies to everyone who has been affected by cancer.

There are also several paid employees who work at the Mulberry Centre which is based on the West Middlesex Hospital site.

One of our learners felt encouraged to share her own cancer journey with us which was very inspiring and was triggered by Michelle’s sensitive introduction to the illness.
